CHARITY CONCERT FOR PROJECT

"MUSIC CLASS"

 

Zurich Insurance Company Ltd will host its third annual Charity Concert on June 25th, 2015. This year’s theme, “Masters of Georgian & Classical Music” will introduce listeners to beautiful melodies interpreted by Georgian and international musicians.

 

The Vivace foundation’s “Music Class” project will be one of the two charities benefitting from the proceeds of this concert.

 

This project aims at providing Georgian music schools with much-needed instruments, as they will broaden the range of musical specialization for talented Georgian kids.

Although conditions in the former Soviet Republic of Georgia have drastically improved in recent years, poverty is still common, limiting possibilities for musically gifted children. When it comes to musical opportunities for these children, one of the biggest obstacles standing in their way is the high cost of buying or renting an instrument. Due to their expensive nature, violins and cellos are often outside of the financial scope for most Georgian families, and so they rely on limited school instruments.

 

The “Musical Class” project aims to equip Georgian children with various musical opportunities, regardless of their financial situation.
